Today, we’ve announced ambitious new plans, which will see us expand our baby and infant swimming company internationally, across all of Ireland for the first time in 2019.
With Turtle Tots Ireland, who started their franchise in Dublin in 2014, we've announced exciting expansion plans which include bringing our award-winning baby swimming classes to pools in seven Irish counties. Due to demand, Turtle Tots in Ireland is also extending its reach in Dublin, Meath, Kildare and Wicklow with the addition of new pool locations.
In just five years, Turtle Tots Ireland has grown to become a major name in the Irish baby swimming market, teaching more than 700 babies and infants under four years old each week across 18 locations. With the new expansion plans, they are on target to reach 1200 swimmers each week by the end of the year.
The plans have already got off to a flying start with schools in Cork and Galway up and running with pools and customers.
At the helm in Ireland is Managing Director, Alan Reinhardt who has been passionate about swimming all his life. He said: “Turtle Tots’ holistic approach to baby swimming has an excellent reputation here in Ireland. The specialist teaching programmefocusses on nurturing babies and young children’s confidence in the water alongside their swimming ability in a fun, supportive environment – for both learners and parents. As a result, demand for our classes has been, and continues to be huge, and by expanding to new locations across all of Ireland, we can bring our Turtle Tots magic to even more parents with babies and toddlers. It’s a very exciting time!”
Dan Allen, Managing Director at Turtle Tots Ltd, who is based at the company’s Bristol Head Office, added: “This is a major international step for Turtle Tots, and with Alan, thanks to his success, we are aiming to take the lead in the Irish baby swimming market this year by way of having the widest geographical reach of any other swim school.”
“Alan has grown his Turtle Tots business tremendously since he started, so rather than taking on more franchisees to develop the remainder of Ireland, we believe giving Alan and his team this chance will help us achieve our ambitions for the business more quickly, and with more success,” added Dan. “With this new franchise agreement, Alan is relishing the opportunity to grow his business and replicate what he has achieved in and around Dublin, across the whole of Ireland.”
Turtle Tots Ireland now has 18 locations around Ireland in Dublin, Meath, Kildare, Wicklow, Galway and Cork, and in 2019 will be launching in Wexford, Waterford, Limerick, Mayo and Sligo, as well as opening new locations across the existing business.
