From the first dip of their toe, Turtle Tots is a magical journey between parent and child, developing water confidence, safety, and swimming skills through our unique and multi award-winning, child-led swimming programme.
Turtle Tots Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire is run by Alyson Tulloch. Along with their team of world-class swimming teachers, they offer swimming lessons for babies, toddlers, 3 and 4 year olds, as well as Turtle Tums Aquanatal Yoga classes, from their lovely warm pool facilities in Aberdeen City Centre, Ballater and Aboyne.
For Babies, Toddlers, 3 and 4 year olds, our supportive and child-led swimming lessons offer a wonderful bonding experience, packed with songs and games to ensure that you and your little one enjoy your time in the pool together and develop a life-long love of the water. Our programme is taught by our fully qualified and highly skilled teachers who are trained to the highest possible standards. They have an in-depth understanding of early years communication and are attuned to your child’s needs to ensure that every skill is taught at a pace that is right for them.

I am the owner and Mum of 2 daughter’s (not so little now) and have been teaching for over 10 years and Turtle Tots Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire is like my third baby. “My favourite Turtle Tots moments are watching little ones explore the water after watching and learning from their carers.”

Narelle and Melissa are truly amazing people! Narelle is extremely kind-hearted who has always accommodated our family with holidays, invoicing and always being so responsive and helpful with any queries.
Melissa is an amazing teacher, my son absolutely loves her and loves attending her classes. Even from an early age of 3 months, he always adored Melissa as a person. My daughter also warmed to Melissa very quickly and loves swimming with her. Melissa’s classes have been extremely helpful in getting both children confident in the water, with the mix of props, singing and storytelling. We love Turtle tots. We’ve put both our kids through the turtle tots swimming programme and it’s incredible the confidence they each show now. My youngest who is 21 months is so confident in the water thanks to turtle tots. The small classes mean you get almost a one to one basis at times and they adapt to your child’s abilities. I’ve found it’s also helped my confidence and understanding of how to teach my kids to swim. Would highly recommend.

I’ve used Alison with all 3 of my children. I would not go anywhere else. She’s a brilliant swimming teacher and all of my children have enjoyed the lessons with her.

Although I enjoyed the lessons and hold very special memories of the time with my baby I do not feel they were worth the money. Sadly the venue close to where I live was very poor with the pool often being cold and very small group numbers meaning I was sometimes the only one there. I think at a better pool with a bigger group it would have been fine.

I keep being asked for a review again and again, so here it is. The classes are good and I Would recommend them. Unfortunately after two terms they skipped my daughter ahead without asking, and so she was doing swimming unassisted. She did not like this and was not ready for this class. I asked to switch back but my place had been given away. I didn’t think this was good, but to be fair they refunded the whole term and we stopped swimming with them. So a real mixed bag – good lessons but not impressed with it overall. As I say I wasn’t going to write a review, but having been pestered four times, here it I’dlis.

We have loved being a part of Turtle tots family! We were welcomed with a relaxed yet fun environment to take our daughter swimming for both us and her to gain water confidence. We have been with turtle tots for a few years now and couldn’t recommend them enough.

We have been going to swimming lessons with Alison at Turtle Tots since my little boy was around 12 weeks old (now 19 months). He loves it so much. His confidence has grown massively (as has mine) and we both look forward to every session. If you’re considering it, do it ! And do it with turtle tots. Amazing facility, teaching and encouragement. I have been taking my daughter to Turtle Tots since she was 14 weeks old and in baby level 1 and she is almost 2 now and in intro to toddler. The classes are so lovely and relaxed and teachers are fantastic. My daughter absolutely loves her swimming classes and I love being able to enjoy the classes with hers.

Both of my daughters have swam with turtle tots since the age of 12 weeks old . My eldest is just about to graduate from turtle tots and I can’t honestly thank you enough . She used to have a fear of putting her face under the water now she swims very confidently more under the water than above water . It is emotional that my elder journey is coming to an end with turtle tots , I am so grateful for everything you have done for her you truly are all stars but especially a big shout out to Harriet who truly is one in a million
