TurtleTots Central Scotland
Turtle Tots Central Scotland was started in 2013 by me, Kirsty McNiece. After my eldest daughter developed a fear of the water, I started taking my younger daughter to baby swimming lessons and absolutely loved it. After struggling to juggle my career with being a mum of 2, I saw the opportunity to join Turtle Tots and jumped at the chance.
Here is a bit more info about me:
Family: I have two girls - Ciara and Eilidh, and a cat and a dog who are like extra toddlers!
Best thing about your job: The work life balance and it doesn’t feel like work. :-) I have the best of both worlds. I get to spend time with lovely parents and babies during the day, and I’m still around to spend time with my own children taking them to their after-school activities and spending time with them later and during the holidays when we’re not teaching.
Favourite baby swimming fact: Swimming as a baby increases stamina, lung function and cardio-vascular output, and assists in developing better eating and sleeping habits. What’s not to love?
Fact we didn’t know about you: I was once bitten by a penguin at Edinburgh Zoo.

Mum of 2 girls, plus a cat and a dog who are like extra toddlers! I love the the work life balance and teaching little ones to swim doesn't feel like work.
The best thing about my job is meeting lots of wonderful families and being allowed to take part in the precious development of each of their little ones.
Winging it Mum of 2, who both think sleep is overrated. I love that I always leave the pool with a smile on my face.
Best thing about my job is seeing the kids enjoying the water and getting exciting when they've learned something new, like balancing on a woggle on their own.
Life as a Turtle Tots teacher is fun and rewarding in so many ways. Watching the wonderful interactions between adults and babies and being part of the development of wee ones is really special.
Admin extraordinaire - you may not meet Claire in person but most of you will speak to her over email at some point. She keeps the full team ticking along.
Find swimming lessons unique as your little one. Bring on the smiles!
