Turtle Tots Makes a Splash on TikTok!
On 12th December, Turtle Tots excitedly launched our TikTok channel and in this month’s blog, we’ll share why we believe the social media app will help us connect with a new audience and help educate a new generation of parents on the importance of baby swimming lessons and the teaching of water safety skills from a young age.
In a relatively short time frame, TikTok has seen a meteoric rise and is continuing to grow at pace. In the UK alone, there are around 17,464,020 TikTok users currently, and this number is anticipated to increase by 20% in 2026 to reach 21,104,740.
These are staggering figures and they show how the social media app has significantly grown from being just a lip-synching channel for teenagers. In fact, reading the latest statistics, more than half of TikTok’s audience are now women aged 45 and under. Gen Z’s make up the majority spending an average of 41 minutes a day on the app.
It is therefore a powerful marketing tool for Turtle Tots, and it will help us reach, connect and engage with a new generation of parents in a fun and visually exciting way – while educating audiences on all the wonderful benefits of baby swimming and our unique approach to teaching.
Here at Turtle Tots HQ, we are very excited about joining TikTok this month, and to help us we’ve engaged the support of our expert baby swimming teachers and franchisees.

So what you can look forward to seeing on TikTok? we have so many ideas! Ultimately we want to bring the real-life, everyday experiences of Turtle Tots to life in a fun way, to give parents a real insight into our baby and toddler swimming lessons.
Our little turtles will of course be the stars of the show. In our lessons, they learn a lot through play and music so there are always lots of smiles and cute giggles – and our toddlers can truly say the funniest of things. They will form a key part of our TikTok content, demonstrating the funny side of being a parent of a little person.
We also know that many of our current Turtle Tots parents are big TikTok fans and use the social media app currently for entertainment, fitness, beauty, parenting, and recipe inspiration, for example. They too are looking forward to being involved in the making of our TikToks and starring in our baby swimming videos.
Our TikTok team of baby swimming teachers will also create more educational and informative videos about why we do what we do, why we teach certain skills, the importance of teaching water safety from an early age, and the benefits of our award-winning classes to both parents and babies.
Through TikTok, we’ll also show how wonderful and rewarding it is to be a baby swimming teacher and share all the benefits associated with being a Turtle Tots franchisee.
