Tiverton School pool is a lovely warm pool in Whitley, Coventry. We teach here on Sunday mornings.

There is free parking on site which is accessed via the main school gates. We have a maximum of 4 babies per class.

Pool timetables and term dates: We run classes on a Sunday morning from 8:15 to 10:15am.

The Pool: Tiverton School pool is a lovely warm pool, with a temperature of 30c. The pool measures 5 x 4 meters, with a depth of 1.2m making it a great pool for our turtles.

For Health and Safety reasons we ask parents not to carry their child into the water down the steps. So for babies, please could you lay them on the poolside (feet facing the water) and for the older babies and toddlers sitting them up on poolside. Parents are to sit close to their child and make a swivel entrance into the pool, then pick up or help your little one into the water.

Due to the temperature and limited space on poolside, we do not allow spectators.

With regards to the poolside area and health and safety, please can you ensure your little ones do not run around the poolside area.

Parking: There is free parking on site and space for plenty of cars. Ashington Grove is a busy residential road so please drive carefully on your approach and exit. Entry into the car park is via the main school gates which are kept closed so you will need to use the buzzer to gain access. Access to the pool is through the main school doors which are automatic, you then turn left and follow the corridor to the end where you will find the changing rooms. There is a separate male and female changing room. Space in the changing rooms is limited so pushchairs and car seats are best left in the car.

Changing rooms: There are two changing rooms, one male and one female. These access the pool directly.

Attire: What to Wear and Bring At Turtle Tots in order to prevent accidents in the pool we have a strict double nappy policy. All babies and young toddlers have to wear a disposable swim nappy OR a re-usable swimming nappy and then on top of that a neoprene swimming nappy (Happy Nappy). These swimming nappies have grippy bits around the legs and waist to prevent anything from ‘sneaking out’! Wearing these in the pool really does give you and us peace of mind that there will be no accidents. Wetsuits/Warm in One suit/Baby Wraps are required for all babies under 3 months old, and recommended for babies under 12 months old. This will add a welcome 3°c to the body temperature. Please note – if you know your baby feels the cold, a full Warm in One suit is recommended rather than a wrap as it provides full body coverage. Then all that is left is just you and your swimming costume and towels. Turtle Tots Swim Shop We are pleased to announce that we have a Turtle Tots shop which stocks plenty of branded swim nappies, wet suits, changing mats, bags and goodies etc. Please head to the Turtle Tots website to order in advance of your lessons.

Health and Safety: Please refer to your Welcome email for all Health & Safety Guidelines.

Refreshments: No food and drink is allowed on site, there are places nearby should you wish to grab refreshments after your lesson.
