Turtle Tots South Coast & Solent - Our Pools
Heathfield School
This is a beautiful pool with free parking and great male and female changing facilities. Baby wet suits and warmers are not required in this pool as it is very warm, only a swim nappy and neoprene nappy are needed.
Address: Heathfield School, Oldbury Way, PO14 3BNPool temp 33 - 35 degrees It is advised that you feed your baby 1 hour before swimming. Our lessons are energetic and your babies are much more comfortable having had time to digest their last feed. They will become very hungry after swimming so be prepared for a big feed afterwards and long sleep. Spectators We welcome spectators watching our classes however, we do ask that you bring no more than one person at a time and to please let us know before each class. Please note that there are no outdoor shoes, food, or drinks allowed on the poolside. Spectators are asked to sit on the seating provided and asked not to walk around the poolside as this can be distracting for the babies in the class. Please note that we do not allow photos or videos to be taken while the lesson is taking place. Photography Due to the new GDPR regulations, we are unable to allow photographs or videos to be taken during lessons due to not being able to control who else is in that photograph. We understand some may want to have a photo of their child so we ask you to do so before or after your lesson, so those not wanting to be in the picture can remove themselves from the pool. Directions Heathfield is located with two other schools on either side, park your car and go to the main reception. Once at reception turn left then right and walk through the school hall to the right-hand corner, the pool is right in front of you.
At Turtle Tots in order to prevent accidents in the pool all babies must wear a disposable swim nappy (Huggies Little Swimmers, Tesco Swim Nappy, etc.) and then on top of that a neoprene swim nappy (this can be purchased through us, we will bring it along to your first class). The neoprene construction provides a soft, stretchy, impermeable shell, while the close-fitting waist and leg hems offer a good seal around the tummy and legs. All of this adds up to no rubbing or chaffing of delicate skin, and peace of mind that any little accidents are contained. A few weeks into the programme you may want to bring clear googles so that you can see your baby underwater. Then it is just your swimming costume, towels, a bag for wet clothes, etc.
Note: If you have ordered a nappy/changing mat/ etc. it will be at your first class for you to collect.
