This is a beautiful pool with excellent spectator viewing however parking is very limited so ensure you arrive with enough time to find a space and get to your lesson. You will not require a wet suit or warmer at this pool as it is a very warm temperature and your baby will be warm enough here.
Address:LB Healthcare, Gull Coppice Way, Yew Tree Drive, PO15 7LS
Pool timetables and term dates: Tuesday afternoons
It is advised that you feed your baby 1 hour before swimming. Our lessons are energetic and your babies are much more comfortable having had time to digest their last feed. They will become very hungry after swimming so be prepared for a big feed afterwards and long sleep.
Spectators - We welcome spectators watching our classes, however, as space on the poolside is quite small, we do ask that you bring no more than one person at a time and to please let us know before each class. Please note that there are no outdoor shoes, food or drinks allowed on poolside. Spectators are asked not to walk around the poolside as this can be distracting for the babies in the class. Please note that we do not allow photos or videos to be taken while the lesson is taking place.
Photography - Due to the new GDPR regulations, we are unable to allow photographs or video's to be taken during lessons due to not being able to control who else is in that photograph. We are aware lots of you do enjoy taking your child’s picture and we do not want to take this away from you, I think we do need to find a balance and asking for photos to only be taken outside of the lesson is a fair request, as we have a responsibility to ensure all of our swimmers feel safe and enjoy their time with us.
£14 per class payable termly
The cost of our 10-week terms is £140.
Note: This is payable either in full at booking or a £45 deposit paid at booking and then the rest of the course fee split into monthly payments over 2-3 months via direct debit. If selecting to pay by direct debit you are still committing to a full course and the whole amount is still payable.
Note: It is possible to still join a term halfway through, please get in touch to discuss your options.
Parking: There are limited parking spaces right outside of the facility, please do not park opposite as those spaces belong to the nursery. If you do park outside LB Healthcare ensure you sign in at the reception and give them your car registration number, failure to do so could result in a £100 fine.
You can also use the car park at the community centre (marked C) and the shops.
Changing rooms: Once in the reception area use the door on the right which will lead to the changing rooms. There are both male and female changing facilities. There are chairs in the changing rooms and we recommend you purchase one of our Turtle Tots changing mats to change baby on the floor. Please do not leave your baby unattended on the chairs at any time. You have access to lockers if needed, a £5 deposit is required at reception for this.
Note: Please wait in the changing room until your class starts, it can be quite distracting for the previous class, so we appreciate your understanding.
At Turtle Tots in order to prevent accidents in the pool all babies must wear a disposable swim nappy (Huggies Little Swimmers, Tesco Swim Nappy, etc.) and then on top of that a neoprene swim nappy (this can be purchased through us, we will bring it along to your first class). The neoprene construction provides a soft, stretchy, impermeable shell, while the close-fitting waist and leg hems offer a good seal around the tummy and legs. All of this adds up to no rubbing or chaffing of delicate skin, and peace of mind that any little accidents are contained. A few weeks into the programme you may want to bring clear googles so that you can see your baby underwater (we will remind you of the lesson before). Then it is just your swimming costume, towels, a bag for wet clothes, etc.
Note: If you have ordered a nappy or changing mat it will be at your first class for you to collect.
