Located in Harlow, we have exclusive use of this lovely school pool which is perfect for teaching babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. There is a free car park on site and access to the swimming pool will be clearly signposted on arrival. Due to the limited space when classes are changing over it is requested that push chairs and car seats are left in the car.
Changing rooms: There are separate male and female changing facilities at this pool, including toilet facilities and showers. There are also separate disabled changing facility available, including toilet facilities and shower. We do ask that you bring your own travel changing mat with you or alternatively one can be purchased from us in advance. Please note that no shoes can be worn on pool side and there aren’t any lockers to store your valuables so please leave these in the car. You can bring your bags onto pool side while you are swimming, but please leave these in a safe place where others cannot trip on them.
Attire: At Turtle Tots to prevent accidents in the pool all babies and young toddlers must wear a disposable swim nappy (Huggies little swimmers or Pampers equivalent) and then on top of that a neoprene swimming nappy. These swimming nappies have grippy bits around the legs and waist to prevent anything from ‘sneaking out’! Wearing these in the pool really does give you and us peace of mind that there will be no accidents. We also recommend that you purchase a Warming Wetsuit for your baby which will keep them 1-2 degrees warmer than the pool temperature, this is also available for older babies and helps to keep them nice and warm while in the pool. We also recommend a Baby Warma for your Toddler to keep them nice and warm in the pool. Then all that is left is just you and your swimming costume and towels, (a plastic bag is always handy to put wet things in as well).
