Sandy Balls
Lovely pool with open aspect, panaramic views situated near Fordingbridge, New Forest West
This is a fabulous pool set in the leisure club, part of Sandy Balls resort in Godshill, New Forest near Fordingbridge. We swim in one half of the pool to allow Sandy Balls members to swim also. Covid-19 regulations apply. These will be outlined here shortly and supercede the general information below.
Address: Sandy Balls, Away Resorts Ltd, Sandy Balls Holiday Village, Godshill, Fordingbridge, SP6 2JZChildren are not permitted to use the other facilities (spa pool, paddling pools or sauna) or to enter the pool until instructed to by the teacher. Please note the poolside may be wet so take care when walking/carrying children. Photography is limited to once a term and will be planned for the last session of each term. Consent is obtained online. Any swimwear you've ordered will be waiting for you on poolside. On your first day, it is useful if you can turn up at least 15 minutes in advance of your class for the COVID-19 briefing and for nappy checks. In terms of wetsuits, we do recommend that all little ones who are under 12 months should wear a wetsuit or warmsuit. NB: Sandy Balls is not suitable for little ones younger than 3 months or 12 llbs. We ask that you don’t eat in the changing rooms and please take disposable nappies home with you - thank you! If you would like to eat on site, there is the Woodside Inn and Aubrey’s available subject to current COVID-19 regulations.
Children need to wear two nappies at all times unless succesfully potty trained for at least one year as accidents can still happen long after potty training.
The two types are an under nappy specific to swimming which can be disposable or reusable and an over nappy which must have tight legs and waist to prevent leakage!
In addition, at Sandy Balls, little ones as a minimum need to wear a wetsuit or a warm suit ( wetsuits are vest in style coveing little ones core, warm suits have long arms and legs and are fleece lined). A swimming costume is not necessary.
Depending on your little ones age, you will need as a minimum a changing mat and then for older babies/toddlers a toy, woggle and sinker due to the restrictions around sharing kit at this time.
We sell: neoprene nappies, reusable under nappies, wetsuits, warmsuits and changing mats. Please do contact: floating@turtletots.com to order any essential kit!
