The numbers

Initial investment starts at just £13,000 plus VAT. Or, for those looking to build and manage a larger business from day one, bespoke packages are available to meet your aspiration.

Turtle Tots has excellent longstanding relationships with leading financial institutions including NatWest and HSBC. We can introduce you to our contacts to help you with any initial funding you may need, and also your ongoing banking requirements.

We recommend you have sufficient working capital to sustain yourself for the first six to twelve months, so that you aren’t drawing on the business and are able to reinvest profits into your franchise and grow as quickly as possible.

Our model is very simple — franchisees pay 8.5% of revenue on a monthly basis. There is also a small IT payment that includes the cost of our website, app, business management software and Microsoft 365.

The franchise agreement term is for five years, and there is no fee to renew it at the end of each term.

Revenues depend on the size of the customer base you build. Established franchisees can expect to reach a turnover of more than £300,000 per annum within the first five years*. How quickly you reach that goal is up to you!

A franchise is an asset and will increase in value as your business and its profitability grow. Where franchisees have decided to sell their business having grown it successfully, we have seen their franchises re-sold for significant sums.

The best thing about buying an established business was that we could see the cashflow forecast, and what our earnings would be, which was a massive help. It’s a scary step going from being employed to self-employed, so seeing the cashflow forecast and knowing the numbers helped hugely.
