Turtle Tots are incredibly proud to run our swim school in a child-led approach and all our teachers training is based on the very latest research on infant brain development. Our ethos is gentle, non-pressured and we take everything completely at your child’s own pace. You’ll find our classes a place to relax and enjoy time with your little one, lessons are highly sensory and an amazing experience to have together!
What we offer:
- Our terms usually run in 8-10 week blocks (term time only).
- Classes available in the morning, afternoon and evening, 6 days per week in Gloucester, Cheltenham & Stroud. Hopefully meaning you can find a class to suit your busy schedule.
- We offer catch up classes should your little one need to miss a class throughout the term.
- We have a choice of hydrotherapy & standard temperature pools
- 15% sibling discount
- 10% Group booking discount (3 or more friends booking together)

Our Spring term is now underway, if you are looking to start a class for our Summer term starting in May please add yourself to a class waitlist for the spring term. We will then be in contact when booking opens for Baby level 1 classes (0-8months) in April and if a space becomes available in any other classes for a older child we will offer the space to those on the waitlist first before being put for booking on the website.

Please be aware that ALL our venues we can not allow spectators. You are however able to swap who comes into the pool each week with your child and we have a photo day every term so you can show loved ones how they are getting on.
Turtle Tots Gloucestershire has been welcoming children into the pool since 2011 and since then we have helped hundreds of children learn to swim and develop a love for the water.
Jessica & Jo are both mothers of 2 children all under 10yrs old, so we share your love of spending valuable time with your children in a fun, educational and rewarding environment.
At Turtle Tots Gloucestershire we strongly believe in supporting local causes and our primary charity we are proud to support is Scoo-B-Doo, Gloucestershire Royal Hospital’s Neo-natal Charity for premature and sick babies. This charity is close to Jessica’s & Charlotte’s heart as both their first babies were born prematurely and spent time in the neonatal unit. Hi, I'm Jessica and mum of 2. Ive always had a love for the water and i have fond memories swimming with my sister when i was young pretending to be mermaids every weekend at the local leisure centre. I also love frozen water and i'm a keen skier. Teaching swimming is the BEST job, its amazing seeing a child progress and build in confidence from attending our lessons.

Hi I'm Jo. I have been teaching at Turtle Tots for over 10 years. The thing i love most about being a swim teacher is helping babies, toddlers and parents gain confidence in the water. Seeing the little ones progress at their own pace is magical! I have 2 children who love the water, i started Turtle Tots with my eldest when we was just 10 weeks old. In my spare time i enjoy running, yoga and relaxing with a good book.

Hi my name is Millie and I am a mother of 2 little turtles. I was first introduced to Turtle tots when I brought my eldest along to the lessons when he was just a baby. I instantly fell in love with the baby led approach to swimming and knew it was something I would love to be a part of. It is so special to be able to facilitate other parents to enjoy the water with their little ones and create magical memories, all while building little one’s confidence and teaching life saving skills in the water. I have always loved the water and have amazing memories of holidays swimming in the sea with my family.

Hi I’m Claire and mummy to one water loving monkey! While on maternity leave I started taking him swimming and we both really enjoyed it. When I saw an advert come up with the opportunity to work with Turtle Tots I jumped for it! I love seeing the special bond between career and child and helping them enjoy their time in the pool, while teaching them such important skills which will stay with them a life time. Nothing brightens the day more than the smiles and giggles the little ones bring to the pool!

Hi I'm Matthew. My turtle tots journey began 3 years ago as a new parent introducing my son into the water. At this time the guidance and support from the instructors, as well as the ethos of being baby led has allowed my son to flourish and grow into a safe and confident swimmer. Our lessons have became the favourite time of the week. When the opportunity came to join the team it allowed me to combine both my love for the water and my new found passion for teaching. To see and be a part of our children's journeys as they develop and grow in confidence is the best job I've ever had.
Sarah Samways
Pool Assistant
You will see Sarah helping out at venues poolside at the start of the new terms as well as on Sundays at St Edwards. She also helps out occasionally in the pool at the Chamwell Centre and with our Academy classes at St Edwards. Sarah has previous experience as a teaching assistant in primary schools and so is great with young children.
