From the first dip of the toe, Turtle Tots is a magical journey between parent and child, developing water confidence, safety, and swimming skills through our unique and multi award-winning, child-led swimming programme.
Turtle Tots North Ayrshire, Inverclyde and West Renfrewshire is run by Megan McCourt. Along with her team of world-class swimming teachers, they offer swimming lessons for babies, toddlers, 3 and 4 year olds from their lovely warm pool facilities at Sandylands Holiday Park and Seamill Hydro.
Our supportive and child-led swimming lessons offer a wonderful bonding experience, packed with songs and games to ensure that you and your little one enjoy your time in the pool together and develop a life-long love of the water. Our programme is taught by our fully qualified and highly skilled teachers who are trained to the highest possible standards. They have an in-depth understanding of early years communication and are attuned to your child’s needs to ensure that every skill is taught at a pace that is right for them.

Megan
My name is Megan, and I teach all of our Turtles at Sandylands Park Dean Resort and I absolutely LOVE being a swimming teacher! I am the Owner/Director of the business and I bought the business in 2022, after deciding not to go back to my previous job after maternity leave. My daughter is a proud Turtle Tot and swims in our teacher Dana’s class at The Seamill Hydro. I was a competitive swimmer from age 9 to 18 and a lifeguard and swim teacher part time through High school and University. It was so important for me to get my daughter in the pool from a young age and I fell in LOVE with Turtle Tots from our first class! I left, and told my husband I felt like I was at home, and this feeling lead me to where we are today! I always make a point of trying to meet all of our Turtle Tots families and I can’t wait to see you all at the pool, either as your teacher or as another mum enjoying the classes!

Hi, my name is Dana. I started off with Turtle Tots as a parent, bringing my second son to lessons at 12 weeks old. I loved the programme and being with other parents, sharing milestones, swim related and otherwise! Six years later, I jumped at the chance to train as a teacher and be involved again. I have so much fun in the pool and love being part of your learn to swim journey and getting to know all the amazing little personalities! When I’m not in the pool, I’ll be spending time with my family and our crazy whippet Otis, or getting crafty at home making earrings or wood carvings.
