From the first dip of the toe, Turtle Tots is a magical journey between parent and child, developing water confidence, safety, and swimming skills through our unique and multi award-winning, child-led swimming programme.
Turtle Tots Berks & Bucks is run by Louise James. Along with her team of world-class swimming teachers, they offer baby swimming lessons, toddler swimming lessons and swimming lessons for 3 and 4 years olds from their lovely warm pool facilities in High Wycombe, Great Kingshill, Penn, Tylers Green, Reading, Wokingham and Gringer Hill.
Our supportive and child-led swimming lessons offer a wonderful bonding experience, packed with songs and games to ensure that you and your little one enjoy your time in the pool together and develop a life-long love of the water. Our programme is taught by our fully qualified and highly skilled teachers who are trained to the highest possible standards. They have an in-depth understanding of early years communication and are attuned to your child’s needs to ensure that every skill is taught at a pace that is right for them.

Hi I’m Louise and I have been with Turtle Tots Berks & Bucks for almost 9 years working behind the scenes on all things Marketing and general admin. I then became Manager of the area in April 2025 and I truly love my job mostly because I get to stay dry every day!

Hi I’m Emma and I’ve been teaching swimming for over 10 years! I qualified as a level 2 swimming teacher focusing on baby and toddler swimming and have more recently incorporated teaching older children and adults too.

Hey I’m Hayley, I began my journey with Turtle Tots in 2014, where I discovered my passion for teaching babies and pre-schoolers the joy of swimming. After taking a short break to explore other ventures, I’m thrilled to be back in the pool with Turtle Tots helping little ones and their families build confidence in the water. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of such special moments in their swimming journey!
