From the first dip of the toe, Turtle Tots is a magical journey between parent and child, developing water confidence, safety, and swimming skills through our unique and multi award-winning, child-led swimming programme.
Turtle Tots West Kent is run by Kate Brown. Along with her team of world-class swimming teachers, they offer our award-winning swimming lessons for babies, toddlers, 3 and 4 year olds from their lovely warm pool facilities in Sevenoaks, Brands Hatch, Orpington and Croydon.
Our supportive and child-led swimming lessons offer a wonderful bonding experience, packed with songs and games to ensure that you and your little one enjoy your time in the pool together and develop a life-long love of the water. Our programme is taught by our fully qualified and highly skilled teachers who are trained to the highest possible standards. They have an in-depth understanding of early years communication and are attuned to your child’s needs to ensure that every skill is taught at a pace that is right for them.

Welcome to our swim school! I setup the school in 2015 after swimming with my daughter as a baby, I loved it so much that I wanted to do it myself and its been a wonderful experience!

I started turtle tots as a client with my son Leo when he was 6 months old and immediately loved it. It was the highlight of both our weeks, we loved the swimming but also the bonding side of it all too. Watching our amazing teacher Nikki made me realise this was something I would love to do and it all went from there! Both our children have loved swimming with turtle tots – the teachers have always been lovely and the communication excellent around booking and any class admin. We are sad to be finishing our turtle tots journey, but it has been a great for improving our children’s confidence in the water and giving them a love of swimming!

We have gone to Turtle Tots since my toddler was 6 months old and he’s almost 3 now. We enjoy the weekly lessons and Asha our instructor is ever so patient and understanding. We also like the flexibility of having a separate catch up class if you can’t make your original class.

We’ve done Turtle Tots swimming lessons with both of our children, I’m currently attending with my youngest. It’s honestly the highlight of my week. My little one has learnt so much over the lessons, it’s amazing to see their confidence grow.
The teachers are so calm, patient and really good at helping nervous babies feel safe in the water. Their gentle approach has made such a difference, it’s something that has really paid off now that my older child is more independent in the pool.

I would highly recommend Turtle Tots. Our son was just over a year old when starting and very unhappy in a pool.
The lovely instructors were so patient and supportive and helped get him comfortable in the water.
He now loves swimming and has no fear splashing under the water. I don’t think we would have ever managed to achieve that without their help.Kate -

Excellent. It is easy to book and I love you can do catch up sessions if you unfortunately have to miss one. Nikki, our instructor is wonderful. I was worried about my little one going underwater and she answered my concerns and really put me at ease. The pool is lovely and warm for my baby and the class sizes are small. I also like when you move to the next level it’s the same day and time as previous which works great with naps and schedules. My son absolutely loves turtle tots swimming, he gets so excited getting ready for swimming so I would highly recommend.
